Time to take Family Photos!

Time goes by Fast!

This is the main reason why I started photography and a photography business. I could talk about this forever, but the moral of the story is that life is not forever. (see what I did there lol)

On a serious note, my family is the most important thing to me and I can’t think about my family members not being with me. This makes me cherish the moments even more. On top of that, it makes me love the photos and being able to look back at them. Time goes by fast and before we know it our life (and our family) can look so different that it's important to make time now to capture the moments before they become memories.

Story Time

I took family photos of my uncles, aunt and cousins for a school project and it feels like it was yesterday. I looked back on the photos and realized they were taken 5 years ago! That's crazy to me!!! I look back on these photos and my cousins definitely look younger but It does not feel like that long ago! As I look at these photos I can not believe that the younger one is about to be a freshman in high school, and the older one is going to be a SENIOR! I bet you have felt this way too. Have you looked at a photo and felt that it was taken just a short time ago and then realized how much time has passed?

My Family

I went to college four hours away and graduated this past May. I am starting PT school in the fall. My brother just graduated from high school and is going to college about 3 ½ hours away. This means my parents are about to be empty nesters!! I don't think my mom has fully realized this yet. But I thought about this and how important photos of our family are going to be. This is why I gave her a family photo session for Mother’s Day. The photos she will have from that session, as well as our senior sessions, will be hung up around the house and she can look at them any time she misses us. (especially when she calls us and we are busy and tell her we will call her later)

Family sessions are soooo important and the summer is a perfect time for them. They don't have to be a big ordeal and can be as easy as me tagging along for a trip to the park or an ice cream run.
