Look up and Look for Him

Story time. Last Tuesday I had my first Chemistry test for the semester, so the entire weekend before I was busy studying and parring for it. Monday night comes and I'm stressing and getting nervous for the exam. I go to the review session my professor held, and I had about 30 minutes in between that and the tutoring secession I believed started at six. I quickly walk to the bean (school cafeteria) and eat dinner. I'm stressed, nervous, upset that I'm spending all day, and weekend, in the library, and at this point I just want the test to be over with. I walk outside to head to tutoring and look up and see this.

I take a minute to observe the beautiful sunset and am reminded of how great our God is. I think about how great Abilene sunrises and sunsets are and feel a little joy and an uplifting spirit to my bummed mood.

The next Morning I start walking to my test. The test that is at 8 am, and not close to my dorm, but one of the furthest buildings from it. I'm also walking as it is 28 decreases. (sorry to all my Germany friends studying abroad, or my Minnesota family for complaining about this but it was COLD) Anyways I was not feeling it, I was tired and very anxious, and nervous about my test. I then looked up and saw this.

I was reminded again that

A. Abilene has inconsistent weather, but beautiful sunrise and sunsets. and

B. That God is Good.

After my test, I reflected of these moments, and they reminded me that God doesn't just bring us beauty in the sky, He doesn't just show us something good when we are upset, but He is good always, and doing amazingly beautiful things in our lives always.

I then later find this quote on my tee.

God is good Y'all! And He will always be! I needed this reminder, and I needed to see his beauty in a sunset and sunrise to be reminded that He puts beautiful things in our lives daily.

So when your down, (stressed, anxious, nervous, upset, or sad) look up and see the beauty He is putting in your life, because I promise you He loves you and is working in your life daily. You are living an amazing life!
