The Story behind the Sun

Updated: Jul 12, 2020

Ok, to start, I have always loved a good sunset or sunrise because, like, who doesn’t? But they have also represented different things in my life.

First, they represent the end and the beginning of every day. They represent the end of the day which can also be viewed as the end of anything you are going through. Anything you are struggling with and are going through will come to an end. Promise. But it also represents the beginning. It represents the beginning of a new day. It reminds us that new things are coming and there will always be something good, you just might have to wait for it. Promise, there is something good coming.

Second, it has represented beauty. I have noticed this more in college, especially these past two semesters. I feel we get so caught up in the everyday hustle and bustle and the now and the stress and anxiety of the day, we forget to stop and take a minute to look at the beauty around us and to find the good. I talked about this before in a previous post so like click here for link lol but

I have found myself rushing to my 8 AM (probs late and like lowkey running bc late and it was probs cold outside but the cold where it's not cold it was just 80 yesterday and now its high 50s so your just not prepared cold) but like rushing across campus and I look up a notice the colorful sky of a post sunrise view. I then debate whether I should stop (and be even more late lol) and take a picture, or if I should just keep going. Well, shocker, I stopped and took the pic (or a handful of pics) again check out the other post for more, but yeah.

This moment, and so many more of stopping to take the pic and notice the beauty of a sunrise or sunset has made me remember how beautiful this life is. God is so good to us, and there are so many beautiful and wonderful things that happen every day, we just have to choose to stop and see them.

So where does this sun picture come into the story? Well, the sun and its beautiful colors and lines represent the beauty and good God gives us. It represents the light of His love. It represents the new beginning and the end. It reminds me of Him and His grace and glory. The water is us, and that little bit of light reflecting off the water is the most important part. The reflection is us reflecting His goodness into the world and showing it to others. It's reflecting His light and His love and the beauty of life He gives us. The sun and the Sun picture represents so much to me, this is only a small snip off it, but that's what makes it so magical. The sun and the picture could represent this for you, or so much more.

I have loved sunsets and sunrises my entire life, and I think I have found a small reason why. I hope you love sunrises and sunsets just as much, and we can take them in and appreciate them a bit more than just a cute pic.
